    b. Are your organization’s usual procedures, social norms, policies, and supports safe and accessible for team members who are undocumented, non-citizens, or lead families of mixed-citizenship status?

    c. What policies or social norms within your organization might be barriers or sources of alienation for team members who are undocumented, non-citizens, or lead families of mixed-citizenship status?

    Reflect on a time when you felt you were hired to help fix a company, organization, or team that was struggling. If you have not had this experience, recall someone you know or have seen who has.

    a. Where did the greatest level of resistance come from — the people who selected/supervised you, people working laterally to you, or people you managed/supervised? 

    b. Why do you feel this group or person in particular was resistant?

    c. What are your thoughts on people of color in positions of power within institutions that expressly [used to, or do] uphold white supremacy and other forms of oppression?

    Questions for white people:
    a. Have you heard of “the glass cliff?” Is it something you have ever noticed, considered, or played a part in within your organization or professional life? 

    b. What is one thing Harvard could do to support Dr. Claudine Gay’s success in this role?

    c. Dr. Gay’s appointment is historic due to the institution's history and her identities. Dr. Gay is also perhaps the most highly-qualified president the institution has ever seen. If you were doing the hiring, would you find either of these considerations more compelling than the other? Elaborate on your thoughts.
